General Information:

Most scarab beetle species available in the hobby are relatively straightforward to rear. They can typically be maintained at normal room temperature and feed readily available foods - decaying leaves/wood for larvae, and sweet fruits for adults.

Whether you are keeping rhinoceros beetles, stag beetles, or flower beetles, the fundamentals of care remain largely the same. I have written a four-part guide that outlines the essential principles of beetle husbandry, from rearing larvae to ensuring successful breeding.

Beetle Care Sheet - 4 part Guide:

1. Beetle Larva Care Sheet
2. Beetle Adult Care Sheet
3. Beetle Breeding Guide
4. Beetle Egg Laying Guide
